The Board of Directors of the National Stonewall Democrats is the governing body of the organization. Regional Directors of the Board of Directors are directly elected by the NSD membership to serve two-year terms. Board Officers, and At-Large Members, are elected by Regional Directors of the Board of Directors.

Stephen Driscoll (Pembroke, MA), Co-Chair
As the longest serving member of the NSD Board, Stephen Driscoll is a past Co-Chair of Bay State Stonewall Democrats and a member of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee and the AFL-CIO.
Laurie McBride (Sacramento, CA), Co-Chair
Laurie McBride formerly served as California Assistant Secretary of State, chief of staff to the Majority Leader of the California Assembly, Policy Consultant to then-Speaker Antonio Villaraigosa, and as Executive Director of the first LGBT Statewide Lobbying organization in California. She is currently an active member of Sacramento Stonewall, one of the largest Democratic Clubs in the country.
Jeffrey Tooke (Buffalo, NY), Treasurer
Jeffrey Tooke currently chairs the New York State Stonewall Democrats, an umbrella organization of Stonewall clubs in the Empire State. He is also a past chair of the Western New York Stonewall Democrats.
Rick Boylan (St. Petersburg Beach, FL), Secretary
Rick Boylan served as Director of Party Affairs for the Democratic National Committee as well as Executive Director of the New Jersey Democratic Party. Last year, he worked with LGBT Democrats from across the country to secure a record number of LGBT delegates to the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
