Michael's Message: What's at Stake November 2nd

Michael Mitchell

National Stonewall Democrats Executive Director, Michael Mitchell explains what's at stake this election and why it's necessary that the LGBT community continues to engage in the democratic process:

I’m asking you to put a stop to the idea that LGBT people should sit out this election. I’m asking you to tell your friends how important it is to elect pro-equality Democrats to Congress. I’m asking you to not give in to the kind of thinking that will put a stop to the progress we’ve made so far.

Paul Hodes: Equality's Unsung Hero

EqualiTeam's own Scott Wooledge's Op-Ed on Paul Hodes written at Daily Kos and cross-posted with permission here.  An excerpt:

New Hampshire, and the nation, has the opportunity to send to the Senate a strong ally in the fight for LGBT equality. And the LGBT community cannot let this opportunity pass. For too long New Hampshire citizens who believe in equality have been under-served by their representation in the US Senate. This can be changed.

Just as we need Hodes' vote, come November, he will need ours. The race is tight. Just as he's demonstrated his support for our community in the House, we need to support for his candidacy and work to promote him to the Senate.
