National Airport is the easiest DC area airport to fly into and has a Metro stop for lines (yellow and blue) that head right into downtown DC. The blue line has a stop just a few blocks from the Capital Hilton. BWI has good public transportation into DC by train, but you should allow extra time to get into town. Dulles is accessible by cab and shuttle services.
