ElectEquality candidate Rep. Tim Bishop (NY-1):
“Tim has been a
steadfast supporter of the LGBT community -- and of National Stonewall
Democrats -- and we are very pleased that he will continue his work in the next
Congress.
“We were very
pleased when Tim was chosen for our ElectEquality program. It wasn’t until
after we’d placed an organizer in his campaign that we found out that Tim was
the proud, first-time grandfather of a baby with two moms: his daughter and her
partner. It’s a great thing to have a Member of Congress with that experience
when issues around LGBT families come up. Congratulations to Tim (and his
family) on all fronts.”
