The text everyone has been waiting for just hit my phone at 3am. Obama has picked Joe Biden to be his VP.

It was a busy day at the National Stonewall Democrats Convention.  I went to the board meeting and then attended the afternoon workshops. Mara Kielsling, executive director of the National Center for Tansgender Equality was one of the luncheon speakers.  John Hickenlooper, mayor of Denver, welcomed Stonewall Democrats to his city. Donna Redwing, former Portlander and past executive director of the Lesbian Community Project,  was also a featured luncheon speaker.

Latter that afternoon we boarded a bus that took us to Coors Field for a Colorado Rockies game. When the game was over, we got on another bus that took us on a tour of Denver GLBT bars and nightclubs.

Frank Dixon (pictured below), vice chair of the Democratic Party of Oregon and GLBT delegate to the DNC joined us at the Rockies game.
