Jill Long-Thompson has ideas that will put Indiana back on track for sustainable growth, as opposed to Mitch Daniels, who has spent four years soliciting factory and call-center jobs while paying little attention to the high paying jobs that have left our state. Jill plans to grow Indiana's economy by creating good paying, high-tech jobs, while committing to fight the rising costs of health-care coverage and energy costs, therefore Hoosiers can keep more of their hard earned incomes.
Jill also plans to help develop new industries that create and produce renewable energy sources.
Both Jill and her running mate are former educators, and envision classroom environments that meet the needs of students, as opposed to teaching for standardized tests. Jill plans to attract and retain world-class teachers, place a stronger emphasis on 21st century vocational education, and provide incentives for students to complete their education up to the college level.
Under Mitch Daniels, too many people are being left out and left behind. The Long-Thompson campaign vows to see a state in which all Hoosiers are treated equally.
