Steel-City Stonewall Democrats Membership Endorsement Meeting For the 2010 Primary.

On Sunday, March 28th Steel-City Stonewall Democrats (SCSD) will convene its membership to vote on which candidates will receive the organization’s endorsement for the May 18th, 2010 Primary Election.

The meeting will begin at 2:30 PM with an informal meet & greet, from 3:30 to 4:30 candidates will speak & take questions, at 10 minutes to 5 voting will close and shortly after we will announce the endorsed candidates.    

Food will be served throughout the meeting & we will have a cash bar.

The meeting is free for members.  There will be a $5.00 charge for non-members.  Only members can vote in our endorsements & board elections.

The location of our meeting will be the Hyde Park restaurant which is located at 247 North Shore Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 on the Ground Floor of the Del Monte Building.  On Sundays in Pittsburgh parking at street meters is free.  There will also be valet parking for $5.00.  

This year there are many important races.  

Currently, Joe Hoeffel, Dan Onorato, & Jack Wagner are running against each other for the Democratic Nomination for Governor and the winner will face Tom Corbett in the General Election.

Joe Sestak is running against Arlen Specter for the Democratic Nomination for United States Senate & the winner in that race will face Pat Tommey in the General Election.

There will also be many important races for the Pennsylvania House and Senate. 

Completed questionnaires from the candidates detailing their positions will be posted in the news section of www.steel-city.org in advance of the meeting.
