Praise the Cash & Pass the Ammunition

According to the Family Research Council, Trinity Broadcasting Network has agreed to carry Justice Sunday II: God Save this Honorable Court. Much like the moneychangers in the Temple, FRC is using this event to pimp donations for its Republican public relations machine.

TBN founders, Paul and Jan Crouch (whose financial wrong-doings led to the departure from TBN of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker - and their founding of PTL) agreed to carry the program next week on their gawdy, gold-encrusted station whose programs feature velvet paintings of Jesus. I only mention this as a former, avid, TBN viewer.

Paul Crouch had no comment on the vicious, anti-gay rhetoric of Justice Sunday I, and its most likely repeating in Justice Sunday II. Paul outed himself in court last year as the LA Times reported that he paid a half-million dollars in hush-money to a former male staffer who claimed Paul pressured him into sex on numerous occasions at the TBN executive mountain cabin.
