A Thousand Words

The above picture is from a truly amazing slideshow by a survivor of Hurricane Katrina. Granted, the focus is on the French Quarter, and there are much, much more devastated areas of the city - not to mention that the photographer got out before the true destruction began. Still, it is a captivating timeline through events there.
I've participated in several hurricane relief efforts, and the devastation along the gulf even pales the destruction of Hurricane Andrew - my first relief effort.
